Levels To Become A Reiki Master
A person who has reached the highest level or degree in the art of Reiki is called a Reiki Master. A Reiki Master can heal himself and others through techniques of palm healing across the barriers of space and time. He also has the ability to use and control advanced form of Reiki symbols and thus is accessible to the infinite energy of the cosmos. He can channelize these energies through his palms on the body of deseased and cure them.
A reiki master is also a teacher. He can attune and teach his pupils the art of reiki. This is not done in typical classrooms. Rather, it is done from the teacher to the student in the same manner as the Reiki master heals his patients by transferring energy. This process known as Reiki attunement can only be done by a Reiki Master.
The word ‘reiki’ comes from the two words ‘rei’ meaning ‘universal’ and ‘ki’ meaning ‘life force energy’. This is a very ancient form of Tibetan palm healing technique, which was made popular by Dr. Mikao Usui. In this method of healing, the reiki master is able to tap into the infinite cosmos energy and transmit it through his palms for opening and balancing all the seven chakras present in the human body, from the spinal base to the crown of the head.
There are two ways a Reiki Master can heal a person. He can perform localized Reiki on specific parts of the diseased person, maybe an injured part of the body. Or, he can channelize the energy of the cosmos by performing various hand positions for the entire body where the flow of energy would assess the seven reiki chakras, which ones are blocked or misdirected and open or balance the same so that the person is cured physically, mentally, psychologically and spiritually.
A Reiki Master attunes other reiki practitioners or undertakes the Reiki attunement process in three degrees or levels. In the first level, known as Shoden in Japanese, the basic theories and practices are taught. Thus the Reiki master trains the recipients on the various hand positions favouring the whole body treatment for others. The duration of this level depends solely on the reiki master.
Shokuden is the second level of reiki attunement in Japanese. Here the master trains the recipient in different kinds of reiki symbols for the purpose of healing and determining energy flow. For example, how to use the reiki symbols that joins the flow of energy from the practitioner to the healee? Finally, when this level is complete, the practitioners can adequately heal people whenever and wherever.
The third and the final level of Reiki Master training or Shinpiden, results in the student becoming the Reiki master himself with an ability to attune others in the art. it involves the knowledge of advanced Reiki symbols and control over them for the ultimate healing abilities. After the Reiki master attunes the experienced practitioner, the latter becomes one himself becoming an expert in the art.
A reiki master is an expert in all the purposes of healing, and he is the person who has the power to attune other practitioners in the art of reiki, with the help of his palms, making different symbols, stroking, blowing, chanting and tapping. Therefore we can strongly stand for the fact that the reiki master is the most important of all, or the main pillar of reiki attunement and healing, and it is only through him that the divine and wonderful art of reiki breathes life.
